Site security
The school takes site security very seriously as is part of a wider safeguarding strategy to protect the Sandford community. Guards in identifiable Sandford uniform both welcome and monitor all visitors into and out from the school. We have a state of the art 24/7 CCTV system which in conjunction with the guards, keeps the buildings, children staff and visitors safe.
Access to the school site
Staff sign in and out from the school using face recognition technology and wear identification badges while visitors are only permitted to enter the compound with a “gate pass”.
During the school day
Children are not allowed to leave the school during the school, day without parental consent which has been checked and authorised by the Head of Primary/Secondary.
At the end of the day
Children must be picked up by parents or their nominated responsible adults unless written parental authorisation has been provided to the Head of Secondary/Primary.
The site security team is led by a former police commander. If any parent wishes to make contact with the security team, please email Commander Michael michael.tegegne@sandfordschool.org
