Pastoral care at Sandford International School
At Sandford International School, we recognise that the welfare of children is of paramount importance, and that the key to a child’s development, is the supportive, caring, and nurturing environment that Sandford is rightly proud of.Â
All children and young people, from the Early years to Grade 13, are assigned a form group/class teacher, with whom they meet each day. As well as being the first point of contact for our parents, Tutors/class teachers play a central role in ensuring that pastoral care and support are in place and proactive.
Our teams of tutors/class teachers are supported by year leaders, teaching assistants, and senior management to ensure the most appropriate support and guidance is in place throughout their time with us.Â
Partnerships are what make pastoral care so effective. Parents are encouraged and indeed expected to work with the staff to ensure the best possible outcome for every student.
